21 Books I read in 2021

During 2021 I have read a total of 52 books, on average one book a week. That makes 13,817 pages, endless hours of reading on the subway, in the gym, in waiting rooms, in my bed, on the plane from Berlin to Milan and back, on the train, … you get the idea. Almost every minute I could spare, I would try to direct to reading, instead of scrolling through my phone.

The goal I set out for 2021 was to read 21 books. Somehow, I’ve exceeded this number by far. But I would definitely say that the following list I’ve compiled consists of the 21 best books I have read in 2021.

Honestly, each of these books has helped me A LOT and I’m just now beginning to realise their impact.

Prepare for a lot of reviews to follow for all of these inspiring books.
Pick and choose from it what you will – if you only find one of these books half as astonishing as I did, then I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading!

Note: This list is neither sorted by chronology of reading nor by preference. This is not a ranking! (Impossible :D)

Mapping out your mindset

Books that initiated a change of mindest – each and every single one is a guide to a better life.

Each of them contains its own philosophy about life, though many have parallels, which is also very interesting to realise.

Mermaids & Vino

I will show you my signed version and what’s special to me about this book!

Last but not least: A classic

I always try to read books that are often referred upon, whether it’s a non-fiction book or a good story.
I don’t give in to just any hype but I think with this one it’s safe to say: it’s not a hype anymore. This one has long crossed the line into classic.

George Orwell
